How to Obtain the Luckier Coin and Ring of the Jinx in Diablo 4

Just like with the Lucky Coin, this entails farming elite enemies. Focus on locating elites that are relatively close to the marked container, as you’ll need to return there quickly after triggering the shrine effect. Remember, this requires running—you cannot use your mount during this portion.

Step 5: Break the Container

Once you’ve activated the Blast Wave effect through the defeat of elites, dash back to your marked container and break it while the effect is still active. If done correctly, a rat will spawn! It’s important to wait for the container animation to complete before the rat appears.

Step 6: Follow the Rat

Now comes the peculiar part—following the rat for exactly 7 minutes and 9 seconds (or 429 seconds). This may seem absurd, but persistence is key. It’s crucial to keep an eye on the rat, so consider zooming in and out frequently to track its movement. To stay as stealthy as possible, equip the Shroud of False Death and refrain from engaging with enemies, as doing so can cause you to lose sight of your furry guide.

In case you briefly lose track of the rat due to enemy engagement (which can easily happen), don’t panic; the rat typically won’t wander more than one screen away. Search the vicinity, and you should be able to spot it again.

Step 7: Claim Your Luckier Coin

After diligently following the rat for the full duration, it will explode and drop the Luckier Coin. When you pick it up, you’ll see a description reading, “an intricate coin” and “this coin has exchanged hands countless times… always unwillingly.”

Step 8: Find the Moss-Covered Grave

Once you have the Luckier Coin, teleport to the town of Samuk, located southwest of Nahantu. From there, head south to locate the Moss-Covered Grave. The grave is generally easy to spot due to its circular shape on the map.

Step 9: Acquire the Ring of the Jinx

If you have the Luckier Coin in your equipment tab, interact with the grave to receive the Ring of the Jinx. This extraordinary ring boasts a 666 Item Power and provides a 100% bonus to various damage types, including damage over time, overpower damage, and critical strike damage. Its unique ability to break surrounding objects is a nod to the Blast Wave shrine effect that facilitated this whole quest.
